El nombre de Venezuela fue puesto por Américo Vespucio a esta hermosa Nación porque al conocer la ciudad de Maracaibo (de donde es Montaner) quedó soprendido puesto que su imagen le recordaba a Venecia. De allí el nombre de esta canción.
